Trump Jr was arrested for public drunkenness
According to a 2004 profile piece in New York magazine, Trump Jr. developed a reputation for being a heavy drinker at his father's alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania. "To be fairly candid, I used to drink a lot and party pretty hard, and it wasn't something that I was particularly good at," he said. "I mean, I was good at it, but I couldn't do it in moderation."
After graduating from college, Trump Jr. took a year off and moved to Aspen, Colo. where he tended bar and continued to drink. In 2001, he was arrested for public drunkenness and spent 11 hours in jail while celebrating Mardis Gras in New Orleans.
"I think, like anyone else, I made my mistakes," he told The New York Times in 2017. "We have to be honest with ourselves. I'm not good at it, moderation. You have to have the conversation, be a realist, and say, 'I guess I'm not doing myself any favors.'"
Trump Jr has reportedly remained sober since 2002.

How The Morning Show Pulls From Real-Life Scandal
https://time.com/5708304/the-morning-show-true-story/
BY ELIANA DOCKTERMAN
NOVEMBER 1, 2019
The Morning Show, Apple’s marquee series on its new streaming service Apple TV+, is not a ripped-from-the-headlines true story à la The Crown or certain episodes of Law and Order: SVU. But the drama starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell is based, loosely, on NBC’s Today Show. And from the opening minutes of the first episode, it’s clear that the premiere draws inspiration from the #MeToo scandal that embroiled that network beginning in 2017. Trying to sort out how much of the show is fact and how much is fiction, however, gets a little complicated.
The Morning Show is at least partially inspired by journalist Brian Stelter’s book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, which chronicles the behind-the-scenes competition between NBC’s Today, ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS’ This Morning, circa 2012. (Stelter is a consulting producer on the show.) Those who regularly tuned into morning TV back in 2012 will remember the moment when NBC determined that Today co-hosts Matt Lauer and Ann Curry did not have chemistry and unceremoniously pushed Curry off the show. She cried. America got mad — at Lauer, at her, at the network — and many viewers changed the channel to Good Morning America. The upshot: Audiences liked to wake up to two people they thought of as America’s parents — often one man and one woman in those days. The shows were at least as much, if not more, about the chemistry between the hosts than delivering news.
NBC faced public scrutiny again in 2017 when Lauer was accused of sexual misconduct and fired from the network. Over the years, more details have begun to trickle out about Lauer’s alleged abuses. He reportedly had a button on his desk to remotely close his door, and one NBC employee said he used that button to corner her in his office. A report from NBCUniversal said the button is “a commonly available feature in executive offices in multiple NBCUniversal facilities to provide an efficient way to close the door without getting up from the desk.”
New Yorker reporter Ronan Farrow’s recently published book Catch and Kill, which details his attempts to break the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse story during his time as a reporter at NBC, contains an interview with a former NBC employee who says that Lauer raped her while they were covering the Olympics. Farrow also accuses the network of forcing Farrow to pause his Weinstein reporting and eventually take it elsewhere, reportedly because they worried Weinstein would expose Lauer’s bad behavior if NBC reported on Weinstein’s history of allegations of assault.
Lauer has admitted to — and apologized for — becoming romantically involved with NBC staffers, but denied allegations of harassment and assault. NBC has also denied scuttling Farrow’s story.
Lauer is far from the only figure in the TV news world to be felled by #MeToo. Charlie Rose, Tom Brokaw and Mark Halperin were all accused of sexual misconduct in the workplace in the wake of the Weinstein allegations. (Rose apologized, Brokaw denied and Halperin did a little of both.) Top of the Morning didn’t disclose any such revelations. But The Morning Show clearly pulls from those recent events.
“The show existed before #MeToo happened,” Aniston said during a press conference. “The show was always going to be pulling a curtain [back] on the New York media world and the morning talk shows. Once #MeToo happened, the conversation drastically changed and we just incorporated it.”
The show begins with staffers on a morning show finding out via text (conveniently on their iPhones) that one of the co-anchors, Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell), is being fired for sexual misconduct. We find out later in the show that he had a button on his desk to remotely close his door. We also see him in conversation with a director also taken down by the #MeToo movement. That director essentially admits during the conversation to sexual assault of a minor and other misdeeds, a story that sounds all too familiar.
After the revelations, Mitch’s co-anchor Alex Levy, played by Jennifer Aniston, has to announce the news alone on air. The scene is reminiscent of Savannah Guthrie doing the same thing after Lauer was fired. We can’t know how closely her reaction is mirrored in Alex’s — Aniston’s character is angry that it happened, sad that her friend of many years is leaving her vulnerable on the show and excited that she may have an opportunity to spin this news to promote her own career — but the complicated and messy fallout certainly seems realistic based on the competitive world that Stelter presents in his book.
Aniston has said that she based her character on Diane Sawyer. “I’ve known Diane for years, and I had the joy of getting to pick her brain when I was doing research for the show,” the actor told InStyle. In particular, she was inspired by the sexism and ageism that older women on television face. “Alex’s sell-by date expired long ago,” she added, “and she’s trying to stay relevant.”
Aniston also shadowed journalists at ABC, where Sawyer once worked. “I was at Good Morning America at 5 a.m. to do some shadow work,” Aniston told Entertainment Weekly. “What a crazy world! From 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. it’s like a ghost town, and then slowly all the lights start turning on and all the sounds start getting louder and louder and louder, and then all of a sudden it’s this mad, insane, well-oiled machine and everyone’s somehow calm.” She learned a few tips from journalists who have to wake up at 3:30 every morning, like pairing Red Bull and coffee.
Many aspects of the show are purely fictional. There is no equivalent to Reese Witherspoon’s character — Bradley Jackson, a woman plucked from a smaller TV station after a video of her yelling at a protestor goes viral — on morning television right now.
But the problems Bradley faces are very real. “One thing that I thought was really demoralizing was how much they’re analyzed: Their wardrobe, their faces, their smile, their laugh are all tested, and they are put on notice if they are not appealing to an audience,” Witherspoon told EW. “Because test audiences are determining whether or not they’re likable to an American audience. Women who’ve worked so hard to become incredible journalists and to ascend to a position of what seemed like power are relatively powerless.”
Both characters suffer under this sexism even as the network they work for tries to reshape the morning show in the wake of accusations of misconduct. Their responses are pulled directly from real-world journalists. It may be that in diverging from the exact beats of any specific #MeToo scandal, The Morning Show gets as close to to the truth as any depiction we’ve seen.

Did we mention Trump Jr really likes Twitter?
In February 2018, Trump Jr. used Twitter to achieve the impossible: He turned a meme about memes into another meme. Thanks to a typo he made while attempting to mock The Washington Post's motto "Democracy Dies in Darkness," the internet's face subsequently melted off after Trump Jr. tweeted the phrase "democracy dies in dankness."
But as we've already mentioned, Trump Jr.'s been a busy boy on social media long before #danknessgate. For example, just a week earlier, he made it a point to drag Hillary Clinton's viral Grammy appearance in which she read a passage from Fire and Fury, the scathing expose of his father's first year in office. A few months before that, Trump Jr. thought he'd posted a clever Halloween tweet featuring his 3-year-old daughter, Chloe, in which he wrote, "I'm going to take half of Chloe's candy tonight & give it to some kid who sat at home. It's never to [sic] early to teach her about socialism."
It didn't go over well, leaving him on the defensive against "blue checkmark SJWs," and "PC lib crap." But none of Trump Jr.'s Twitter controversies have ever slowed down his limited-character rantings, which is perhaps the way in which he is most like his old man.
Did Vanessa Trump have Hollywood dreams?
Before there was Vanessa Trump, there was New York socialite and model Vanessa Haydon. Think Paris Hilton, except instead of hotels, Vanessa's mother ran the Kay Models agency, according to Elite Daily. Her mom's agency reportedly gave Vanessa her first taste of good, old-fashioned nepotism (a Trump family staple) when she started modeling as a child.
According to Bustle, Vanessa landed a contract with Wilhelmina Models and attempted to launch an acting career. Unfortunately, her sole acting credit is a minor role in the 2003 romantic comedy Something's Gotta Give. A year later, she entered the Trump family orbit, but if she was looking for a career boost, she barked up the wrong tree. According to Bustle, Vanessa served once as a "celebrity judge" for the Miss U.S.A. pageant, and she made an appearance on The Apprentice. Just the regular one, not even Celebrity Apprentice. That's pretty much it.
From there, Vanessa faded into the background as Mrs. Donald Trump Jr., which had to be quite the adjustment considering the height of her modeling days saw her romantically linked to one of the biggest names in Hollywood...

Sondland says Giuliani pushed for Ukraine quid pro quo AP
LISA MASCARO, MARY CLARE JALONICK AND ERIC TUCKER- Nov 20th 2019
https://www.aol.com/article/news/2019/11/20/sondland-says-giuliani-pushed-for-ukraine-quid-pro-quo/23865101/
WASHINGTON (AP) — Ambassador Gordon Sondland told House impeachment investigators Wednesday that Rudy Giuliani had pushed a “quid pro quo” with Ukraine that he had to go along with because it’s what President Donald Trump wanted.
“Mr. Giuliani was expressing the desires of the president of the United States, and we knew that these investigations were important to the president,” Sondland said of his dealings with Trump’s personal attorney.
Sondland, the most highly anticipated witness in the public impeachment probe, made clear that he believed Trump was pursuing his desire for investigations in return for the Oval Office meeting that the Eastern European nation’s president sought. Sondland said he later came to believe military aid for Ukraine was also being held up until the investigations were launched.
“I know that members of this committee have frequently framed these complicated issues in the form of a simple question: Was there a ‘quid pro quo?’ As I testified previously, with regard to the requested White House call and White House meeting, the answer is yes,” he said.
The impeachment inquiry focuses significantly on allegations that Trump sought investigations of Democrat Joe Biden and his son — and the discredited idea that Ukraine rather than Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. election — in return for the badly needed military aid as well as the White House visit.
Sondland, a wealthy hotelier and Trump donor, has emerged as a central figure in an intense week in the impeachment prone that has featured nine witnesses testifying over three days. Both Democrats and Republicans were uncertain about what Sondland would testify to, given that he had already clarified parts of his initial private deposition before lawmakers.
His opening statement included several key details. He confirmed that he spoke with Trump on a cellphone from a busy Kyiv restaurant the day after the president prodded Ukraine’s leader to investigate political rival Joe Biden. He also said he kept Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other top administration officials aware of his dealings with Ukraine on the investigations Trump sought.
Sondland said he specifically told Vice President Mike Pence he “had concerns” that U.S. military aid to Ukraine “had become tied” to the investigations.
“Everyone was in the loop,” Sondland testified in opening remarks. “It was no secret.”
Sondland appeared prepared to fend off scrutiny over the way his testimony has shifted in closed-door settings, saying “my memory has not been perfect.” He said the State Department left him without access to emails, call records and other documents he needed in the inquiry.
Still, he did produce new emails and text messages to bolster his assertion that others in the administration were aware of the investigations he was pursuing for Trump from Ukraine.
Sondland insisted, twice, that he was “adamantly opposed to any suspension of aid” for Ukraine. “I was acting in good faith. As a presidential appointee, I followed the directions of the president.”
The son of immigrants who he said escaped Europe during the Holocaust, Sondland described himself as a “lifelong Republican” who has worked with officials from both parties, including Biden.
Democratic Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff of California opened the hearing saying, “The knowledge of this scheme was far and wide.”
Schiff warned Pompeo and other administration officials who are refusing to turn over documents and testimony to the committee “they do so at their own peril.” He said obstruction of Congress was included in articles of impeachment during Watergate.
The top Republican on the committee, Devin Nunes of California, decried the inquiry and told the ambassador, "Mr. Sondland, you are here to be smeared."
Nunes renewed his demand to hear from the still-anonymous whistleblower whose complaint about Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy led the House to open the impeachment inquiry.
Associated Press writer Colleen Long in Washington contributed to this report.
Like father, Trump Sr .... like son ... Trump Jr
2005 was a big year for both Donald Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr. In the span of 11 months, they both married former models at Trump's married famous Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The senior Trump, of course, took the hand of former model Melania Knavs, in January of that year, while his son would walk down the aisle in November with model-actress Vanessa Haydon. According to a 2017 profile in The New York Times, dad introduced the couple to each other at a fashion show in 2003, although neither of them remembered the encounter until they were reintroduced six weeks later by a mutual friend.
At the time of their nuptials, the couple's wedding announcement said Haydon was studying to receive a bachelor's degree in psychology at Marymount College in Manhattan. She worked for the prestigious Next Model Management and Wilhelmina Models, and at one point dated Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio. She's now reportedly a stay-at-home mom who helps take care of the couple's five children.
On March 15, 2017, the couple announced their separation via a joint statement to Page Six, but before we get to that, let's dig into some of the untold truths of the man who now runs his father's business empire.
His childhood was kind of sad
With the publishing of her memoir, Raising Trump, Trump Jr.'s mom, Ivana, pulled the curtain back on a few seemingly painful memories from her eldest son's upbringing. During a promotional interview for the book with ABC News, Ivana told the story of how she was the one to name all of the children, including Don Jr. even though his father initially protested, citing his worry over the fact that the boy might turn out to be "a loser."
On top of that, Ivana also revealed to The New York Post that during her ugly divorce from Donald, he once informed her that he was "keeping Don Jr.," but after about a half hour, the boy was promptly returned to his mother. "I knew Donald would not know what to do with him," Ivana told The Post. Sad, right? But wait, there's more!
One of Donald Jr.'s college dorm neighbors, Scott Melker, posted a story to Facebook (via The Concourse) back in 2016 that echoes this same tense father-son relationship. According to Melker, many onlookers watched as Donald arrived to pick up Donald Jr. to attend a Yankee game, only to be shocked when Donald allegedly "slapped [Don Jr.] across the face" for the apparent sin of wearing a jersey. "Put on a suit and meet me outside," the elder Trump allegedly said before walking out of the dorm. Not surprisingly, the Trumps have denied the story, but when put into context of Ivana's icy childhood anecdotes, is it really that hard to believe?

Trump Jrs half baked partnership with WikiLeaks didn't go well
As a member of his father's presidential campaign, Trump Jr. was caught in the dragnet of the FBI's investigation into possible Russian collusion. In December 2017, he testified before both the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, which are also conducting their own parallel investigations. Prior to those testimonies, however, The Atlantic broke the story of secret correspondence between Trump Jr. and the hacktivist organization, WikiLeaks, which seemed to show that Trump Jr. was once again "eager to obtain damaging information about Hillary Clinton, despite its provenance." (He previously came under scrutiny after a meeting with a Russian operative who claimed she had incriminating information on Clinton.)
Trump Jr. responded by publishing his full correspondence with WikiLeaks on Twitter, a move that also lead to the revelation that he'd spoken with other high-level campaign staffers about the secretive messages. According to Vox, this not only further damaged the embattled campaign, but also served to prove that Trump Jr.'s possible attempt at collusion was not only bumbling, but ineffective to boot. Whoops.

A terrifying letter put Vanessa Trump in the hospital
On Feb. 12, 2018, Vanessa Trump was hospitalized after she opened an envelope containing a suspicious white substance. The threatening letter was addressed to her husband, and the incident sent Donald Trump Jr. into a justified rage. "Thankful that Vanessa & my children are safe and unharmed after the incredibly scary situation that occurred this morning," he tweeted. "Truly disgusting that certain individuals choose to express their opposing views with such disturbing behavior."
Fortunately, authorities determined that the substance was only corn starch, according to NBC News, and a suspect was arrested in Boston. "Thank you so much to everyone that helped catch the person who sent the horrifying envelope that I opened up two weeks ago!" Vanessa tweeted. "A special thanks to @SecretService and all the dedicated state & federal agencies in Boston, NYC & around the US!" Though Vanessa's case was handled by a slew of law enforcement agencies, she reportedly struggled in its aftermath. A source told Page Six the mother of five was "worried for her kids."
Vanessa Trump supports Donald Trump Jr.'s new flame
Amidst his divorce from Vanessa Trump, Donald Trump Jr. started dating Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle. Perhaps Sean Hannity set them up when he was helping Trump Sr. make important decisions about the country, which is something he does, according to USA Today. Anyway, Vanity Fair reports that Don Jr. thinks Guilfoyle is a "cool girl" who "fishes, shoots guns" and "also wears makeup and the fashions."
As it turns out, Vanessa seems cool with her too. She even defended the Fox News star after an article suggested the network should fire Guilfoyle over her relationship with Don Jr. (because, you know, conflicts of interest). "The lengths people will go to attack a woman simply because she's dating Don," Vanessa tweeted. "We've been separated for over nine months and respect each other's decisions and privacy. We'll focus on raising our great kids. Would be nice if the press did the same rather than obsess over our private lives!"
It seems if there's one thing Vanessa isn't, it's petty. Way to take the high road.

Vanessa Trump pulled the trigger on the divorce
On March 15, 2018, TMZ broke the news that Vanessa Trump filed for divorce from Donald Trump Jr. She didn't contest custody or spousal support, which may indicate that she signed a prenuptial agreement. As for Junior's reaction, well, he didn't seem too broken up about the whole thing. In fact, a source told TMZ that Don Jr. was "relieved."
However, Page Six noted that the fallout from the divorce couldn't be worse. Vanessa reportedly filed papers on the same day that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the president's alleged collusion with Russia subpoenaed the entire Trump Foundation — which includes Don Jr. Making matters even more complicated, Vanessa hired a criminal attorney for the divorce, which is a "curious choice," according to a family law expert. According to Page Six, the pair finalized its divorce in late 2018 and reportedly signed a confidentiality agreement to keep the terms of the settlement private.
He used to maintain a low profile
For reasons positive and, uh, not so much, Trump Jr. now has to fight hard to avoid the national spotlight, but there was a time when he was actually able to stay out of the press. "When I was younger, I went out of my way to avoid any kind of media attention," he told New York in 2004. "To this day, I meet people and they're like, 'I didn't know he had a son! You mean Ivanka's not the only one?'" He continued, "She did her modeling thing, she was out there a little bit more. But if there was a reporter within 100 miles, I was in the background somewhere, trying not to be seen."
Something tells us he wishes he could go back to those days right about now.

Vanessa Trump is a stay-at-home mom
Despite her early years as a fixture in the New York party scene, Vanessa Trump seamlessly transitioned into her new role as a stay-at-home mom to a brood of five! As Romper noted just after the 2016 election, Vanessa's Twitter was a shrine to her kids, even as she began retweeting endorsements for Trump policies. However, Vanessa also has an eye for philanthropy, and she was active in humanitarian efforts while growing her family.
According to her now-deleted biography on the Eric Trump Foundation website (via Romper): "Vanessa is an avid humanitarian" who volunteered with Don Jr. "on an Operation Smile medical mission in Nicaragua in 2008, where they worked side-by-side with the medical volunteers to help the young patients and comfort their families and bring global awareness of children who suffer from cleft lips and cleft palates. As the mother of five young children, Vanessa is committed to helping Operation Smile transform the lives of children in developing countries." As for why Vanessa's bio was scrubbed from the page, Eric reportedly ceased fundraising efforts for his foundation when he and Donald Jr. were tasked with running the Trump family business after their father's presidential win.
And that's when the trouble began...

Donald Trump Jr. cheaped out their wedding
After somehow landing a model who may have dated Leonardo DiCaprio, you'd probably want to pull out all of the stops when it comes to your wedding, right? Not Donald Trump Jr. The heir to his family's real estate throne was labeled a cheapskate by the New York Post when it came time to plunk down on an engagement ring. According to the tab, Junior proposed to Vanessa Haydon inside a jewelry store at a New Jersey mall while paparazzi and TV cameras conveniently captured the moment. In exchange for the publicity and future promotional appearances, Vanessa's $100,000 ring was reportedly on the house.
As for the wedding itself, Junior once again spared no expense for his bride (No, really, he didn't spend anything.) They held their 2005 wedding at Mar-a-Lago, his family's Florida golf club — the same joint where Trump Sr. married his third wife, Melania, just a few months earlier.

Vanessa Trump a marinara sauce heiress
Donald Trump Jr. isn't the only heir in the Trump household. Vanessa Trump happens to be heiress to a marinara sauce fortune, which begs the question: Do they serve her sauce at Trump Grill or do they exclusively serve taco bowls?
According to Page Six, Vanessa's family made its fortune when her late father, Charles Haydon, invested as much as $1 million in Rao's Specialty Foods. Haydon was pals with Frank Pellegrino Sr., who owned the famed Italian eatery Rao's, and Ron Straci, a lawyer who co-founded Rao's Specialty Foods in 1992 to sell the restaurant's marinara sauce. Haydon reportedly owned about 30 percent of the company, which yielded a lot of cheddar when the business was sold for $415 million in 2017.
As a result of the massive payout, Vanessa's mom reportedly purchased a Fifth Avenue penthouse (what else does someone do with that much cash?) No word on if she plans to scoop up some property at Trump Tower, but we're hearing that's a pretty good bargain at the moment. According to May 2019 Bloomberg report, Trump Tower is one of the most undesirable luxury buildings in NYC, and tenants are selling at a loss.

Donald Trump Jr.: the untold truth
https://www.nickiswift.com/74670/untold-truth-donald-trump-jr/?zergnet=1
There was a time when Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald J. Trump and ex-wife Ivana Trump, could slip under the radar unnoticed, despite a sketchy past filled with partying and personal problems. Those days are over, but the sketchiness remains as Trump Jr. has become a major figure in the congressional investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
But even before the federal government started poking around into the life of Ivanka Trump's lesser known older brother, the general public has long been curious about him. After all, he is a scion of one of America's wealthiest citizens. So, what was his childhood like? Does he have the same ambitions as his father? Does he speak Czech?
Okay, you probably weren't wondering about that last one, but we answer that question and more as we dig deep into the untold truth of Donald Trump Jr.
Some people thought he'd never turn it around
Because of his wild partying days, some weren't so sure the eldest Trump son would become the businessman he is today. "I used to really think that Donny would one day just get on a boat and sail away and leave this world. Those periods when there was the drinking were his way of escaping," a person who knew the Trumps told New York. "I was pretty shocked when I realized how deep some of his problems have gone. I'm so happy he turned a corner." The magazine reported that even some family members didn't think Trump Jr. was destined to work with his father's real-estate business.
Trump Jr. says he had no doubts. "I knew that it was something I wanted," he told New York. "I was following my dad around from a young age. I don't know if it's genetic, or just because I was surrounded by it, but I was always fascinated with building and construction and development. I guess I just wanted to make sure that I was making the right decision."
Was Vanessa Trump's first love a gangster?
Vanessa Trump wasn't always the poised and proper wife of a politician. According to Page Six, her prom date and first love was a member of the infamous Latin Kings street gang. Vanessa reportedly met Valentin Rivera in grade school, but they didn't cross paths again until a house party when the pair was around 15 years old. At the time, Rivera had returned from juvie and Vanessa was in a $47,000-a-year Upper West Side prep school. Things were allegedly serious enough between the couple that she visited him on Rikers Island when he was convicted of assault (much to the dismay of her parents).
Rivera ended up joining the Latin Kings after he was transferred from Rikers to a maximum security youth facility in Upstate New York. He told Page Six that by the time he got out of prison, his relationship with Vanessa was so serious they discussed getting married and having kids. She even reportedly drove him around to gang meetings and took him to "deliver weed with his illegal gun stashed in the trunk of her convertible."
"She talked with an urban, gangster accent," a supposed friend told GQ. "She wore big hoop earrings, hair slicked back. She thought she was a gangster. She had a gangster boyfriend, and she acted like a gangster herself." It's certainly worth noting that Vanessa denies all this. Anyway, the rumored romance
Trump Jr didn't speak to his father for a year
According to New York, Trump Jr. was just 12 years old when his parents' messy divorce splashed all over the covers of the New York tabloids. It wreaked havoc on the boy's life.
"You're not quite a man, but you think you are," he recalled. "You think you know everything. Being driven into school every day and you see the front page and it's divorce! THE BEST SEX I EVER HAD! And you don't even know what that means. At that age, kids are naturally cruel. Your private life becomes very public, and I didn't have anything to do with it: My parents did."
Trump Jr. blamed his father for the divorce and did not speak to him for a year, according to New York. He later claimed his silence was fueled partially by his living arrangement. "When you're living with your mother, it's easy to be manipulated. You get a one-sided perspective," he said.

BY MIKE REDMOND AND MARIEL LOVELAND- NOV. 7, 2019
As the father of five children, President Donald Trump defied norms by including a revolving door of family members in his campaign and administration during his first term in office. However, daughter-in-law Vanessa Trump largely stayed out of the spotlight until her marriage to Donald Trump Jr. disintegrated very publicly in March 2018.
Despite having five kids of their own, the former model and the president's first born apparently couldn't make things work. If the tabloids are to be believed, a hefty dose of scandal played a role in the union's collapse. Let's take a closer look at her ambitious past, road to the altar, and marinara sauce fortune. We'll also find out how she really feels about all those cheating rumors and her opinion on her ex's new love. This is the untold truth of Vanessa Trump.

Did an affair end Vanessa Trump's marriage?
Vanessa Trump's exact reasons for divorcing Donald Trump Jr. are up in the air, but tabloids have hinted at infidelity possibly contributing to the union's demise. In March 2015, retired model Melissa Stetten accused Trump Jr. of sending her private Twitter messages, and former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day also alluded to some sort of scandal involving the president's oldest son.
According to Page Six, O'Day and Don Jr. met on The Celebrity Apprentice, where he allegedly hunted her down even though he was married to Vanessa. American Idol star-turned-politician Clay Aiken, who also appeared on the Apprentice alongside O'Day, also hinted at shenanigans between O'Day and Trump Jr. Vanessa was reportedly pregnant at the time, and Don Jr. allegedly told the songstress that their marriage was ending. Rumor has it that it was Donald Trump Sr. who stepped in and told Junior to "knock it off."
O'Day initially claimed she would not speak publicly about the subject, but that didn't last long. In 2013, she released a song titled "DTJ" that's about having an affair with a married man who has the initials DTJ. Subtle. By 2019, she was apparently ready to let the cat fully out of the bag, revealing on MTV's Ex On The Beach (via iHollywoodTV) that Trump Jr. was her "soulmate."

A hunting trip to Africa sparked global outrage
Trump Jr. came under fire in 2012 after TMZ obtained photos of a hunting trip he and his brother, Eric Trump, took to Zimbabwe the previous year. A photograph depicting Trump Jr. holding the tail of an elephant they'd killed sparked outrage from animal rights groups. Even the boys' father seemed a bit dumbfounded by the foray, telling TMZ, "My sons love hunting. They're hunters and they've become good at it. I am not a believer in hunting and I'm surprised they like it."
Despite the backlash, Trump Jr. says publicity from the controversy yielded some benefits. "There were people who I didn't know who were hunters. And, from that perspective, I get invited [to hunt] a lot," he told The New York Times. He added, "Too much of hunting has turned into the notion of the kill. It's a component, the meat. But so much is experiential, so much is relationships. It is sitting in a duck blind with seven people, cooking breakfast. For me, it's been a great way to see the world. The least interesting part is the three seconds it takes to pull the trigger."

Donald Trump Jr. claimed Vanessa Trump is into guns, bigly
As an avid trophy hunter, it's no surprise that Donald Trump Jr. is a vocal supporter of second amendment rights, and in an interview with SilencerCo, he claimed Vanessa Trump shares his fervor for firearms. "I'm on the road a lot. I have five children at home. I have a wife. You know, she's a tough woman," Junior said (via Heavy). "She puts up with me and she puts up with my kids and does a great job raising them. But she can't stop an aggressive bad guy who's out to get her. She needs that ... she has a concealed weapons permit. She practices with me and she enjoys it. It's a big part of our lifestyle. And we need to be able to defend ourselves."
It's worth noting that at the time of this writing, Vanessa's has not publicly waded into the nation's conversation about gun control, either for or against, or waxed poetic about what her husband called a "big part" of her life. After the deadly Las Vegas shooting in 2017, she did make a public statement offering sympathy to the victims, but her social media presence appears to avoid venturing into contentious political issues. That may be because she had a close encounter with the scary side of public service.
Is Aubrey O'Day trying to tell us something?
After news of Donald Trump Jr.'s pending divorce broke, the rumor mill lurched to life with the sordid tale of his alleged affair from "late 2011" to early 2012 with singer and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Aubrey O'Day. According to Us Weekly, Trump Jr. met O'Day during season five of the reality TV competition, and they quickly fell so in love that they were even "trying for [a baby]," according to an insider.
Their flame was apparently snuffed out when Trump Jr.'s wife "found email exchanges" between the two, and they went their separate ways. Trump Jr. pieced his marriage back together for the next six years, and O'Day went on to a high profile romance with Jersey Shore star Pauly D.
Trump Jr. and O'Day haven't publicly commented on their rumored romance, although O'Day has apparently dropped some hints (via The Daily Beast) in the form of surreptitious social media messages, a song boldly titled "DJT," and the following lyrics on another track: "You said that was the reason for your pain / But you were scared to ruin your family's name / Your wife's the only one glad we are over." Hmm...

He's literally a housewarming gift for the wealthy
A January 2018 report from The Guardian revealed an unusual — and possibly unethical — marketing tactic being used by Trump Towers' newest build in India: "Buy a flat, meet Trump junior" — That's the slogan used by M3M Tribeca Developers, an Indian franchisee of the Trump Organization that is building the "ultra luxury residential project" near Delhi, and whose director was quoted saying, "About an initial 100 buyers will fly to the US where Donald Trump Jr will host them."
Aside from that being an odd perk to plunking down serious cash for a swanky flat, it could be problematic for the White House, according to Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington Chairman Norman L. Eisen, who called the practice "an ethics atrocity." Eisen added, "Access to the first family should not be for sale. It's particularly inappropriate because we know he is in constant communication with his father, so it does create a conduit to attempt to influence the president and one of his closest confidants and family members." Yikes. That sounds bad. Maybe he could just send them one of those greeting cards that records your voice instead. here.

He's fluent in Czech
According to multiple profiles of the Trump family, Trump Jr. grew especially close to his maternal grandfather, Milos Zelnicek, when he was a young boy. According to New York magazine, junior's maternal grandparents spent six months of every year living with the kids in Trump Tower, and The New York Times reported that Trump Jr. traveled to Prague for six-to-eight weeks every summer, where Zelnicek "schooled him in camping, fishing, hunting and the Czech language."
Trump's relationship with Zelnicek proved valuable for a number of reasons. "He needed a father figure," Ivana told The New York Times in 2017. "Donald was not around that much. They would have to go to his office to say hello to him before going to school." Trump Jr. said spending time in the woods allowed him to escape the often claustrophobic atmosphere of New York City.
According to New York magazine, Zelnicek died in 1990, which was an especially fraught time for Trump Jr. He was trying to process the fallout from his father's corporate bankruptcy filing, as well as his dad's scandalous affair with Marla Maples, which ended his marriage to Ivana. And speaking of that tabloid frenzy...
Remember when we said, "Like father, like son?"
Well, during his dad's presidential campaign, junior got into a heap of trouble for posting controversial messages and memes on Twitter. Perhaps his biggest oops occurred in September 2016, when he posted an image comparing Syrian refugees to a bowl of Skittles. The image said, "If I had a bowl of Skittles and I told you just three would kill you, would you take a handful? That's our Syrian refugee problem." Alongside the since-deleted post, Trump Jr. tweeted, "This image says it all. Let's end the politically correct agenda that doesn't put America first."
The tweet created an uproar, but Trump Jr. defended his actions, claiming (via ABC News), "To me it was a simple metaphor. You know people will today make what they want of anything, and they see the worst in everything and they look for subtext that doesn't exist."
He has continued to ignite controversy on Twitter. There was the time he live-tweeted fired FBI Director James Comey's testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee in June 2017; and the time he shared the full contents of an e-mail exchange that reportedly contained evidence that he had met with a Russian lawyer who allegedly had damaging information about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Politics took a toll on Vanessa Trump's marriage
Not long after the white substance scare, Page Six ran an exclusive report that claimed Vanessa Trump's marriage to Donald Trump Jr. was on the rocks. According to sources, the couple always had issues, but things only grew worse as Don Jr. became wrapped up in his father's administration (and the accompanying scandals) along with running the family business. "Don Jr. has been busy traveling, which has contributed to their problems," an insider said. "Vanessa is a devoted mother, but she is increasingly lonely and alone in the house with the children."
Page Six also reported that friends grew increasingly concerned about the way Don Jr. had "changed." They cited his erratic tweet attacking the survivors of the Parkland, Fla. shooting and an awkward Halloween tweet that used his daughter to criticize socialism. On top of that, the envelope incident was allegedly an eye-opener for Vanessa. "Vanessa is by nature is a very low-key person," a source said, "and she is uncomfortable with the attention her family is getting now [that] the Trumps are on the world stage." Before the ink could dry on Page Six's bombshell report, Vanessa made her move.
He claims he doesn't talk to his father about business
In January 2017, amid a flurry of questions regarding conflicts of interest, then-President-Elect Trump agreed to hand over his business dealings to his two sons and to Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg.
Although the move raised a few eyebrows to those on the left, his eldest son has insisted on multiple occasions that he barely speaks to his father now that he's president of the United States. "I basically have zero contact with him at this point," he said in March 2017, according to NBC News.
He reiterated this stance to The New York Times in July 2017. "I haven't spoken to him. Maybe just to say hello. It feels trite. I feel ridiculous bothering him." He added, "Where is the breaking point? If I see him once a month, is that too much? Once a year? My point is, it's a no-win scenario. But, in the end, we both fully recognize that what he is doing now is far more important than absolutely anything going on in the business. And we will conduct ourselves accordingly."
Vanessa Trump had harsh words about her future father-in-law
The story of how Vanessa Trump (née Haydon) met Donald Trump Jr. is one for the ages, provided your definition of an epic romance involves using a highly offensive word to describe your future father-in-law. In a 2006 interview with The New York Times, Vanessa recalled how she first met DTJ at a 2003 fashion show, thanks to an introduction from his famous dad. According to Vanessa, the three had a "brief, awkward conversation" and then parted ways, but the story didn't end there. "Donald comes back up to me again, 'I don't think you've met my son Donald Trump Jr.,'" Vanessa recalled, to which she responded, "Yeah, we just met, five minutes ago."
Six weeks later, Vanessa and Trump Jr. were supposedly introduced again at a birthday party for a mutual friend. For a moment, the two initially didn't remember each other, until it hit Vanessa. "Wait, you're the one with the retarded dad!" That dad would become the 45th president of the United States, and the woman who reportedly used the "R-word" became his daughter-in-law. Awkward.

He allegedly got his wife's engagement ring for free
While their nuptials landed a coveted spot in The New York Times' weddings section, their engagement was trashed by rival newspaper the New York Post. In an article titled "Trump Jr is the cheapest gazillionaire," sources alleged the "heirhead" (get it?) snagged a $100,000 engagement ring for free so long as he agreed to make promotional appearances for the jeweler who designed the ring, Bailey, Banks & Biddle. According to sources for the Post, paparazzi and TV camera crews were invited to what it described as a "less-than-romantic" and "taste-deprived" unveiling of the ring at the Short Hills Mall in New Jersey, even though Trump had allegedly popped the question to Haydon about two months prior.
Nope. Romance definitely isn't dead.

Vanessa Trump allegedly dated Leonardo DiCaprio
Following the blockbuster success of Titanic, Leonardo DiCaprio was the biggest heartthrob on the planet in the late '90s. We're talking not even Justin Bieber has had this level of heat on him. Leo was huge. Which also means that he had his pick of young models and starlets, and according to New York Magazine, Vanessa Trump (née Haydon) was one of them, although there's some dispute about what really happened in the heady days of 1998, when Leo was king of the world and Vanessa was an up-and-comer on the catwalk.
While the two were reportedly spotted nuzzling at a premiere party, Leo's publicist denied they were dating, and sources accused Vanessa of planting stories with gossip columnists about Leo finally settling down with a "down to earth" girl. Apparently, Vanessa was anything but. "Vanessa played the media really well," an old friend told the mag. "Now she's all dolled up and ladylike and s***, but she used to be this hard-rock in leather and baggy jeans. She was a total gangster b****."
"She was an ill thug," said a former high school classmate. "She went out with this Latin King for like three years." (More on that in a minute.
Unhappily ever after
On March 14th, 2018, Page Six delivered the dirt that Donald Trump Jr. and his wife of more than a decade, Vanessa Trump, were separating. In a statement published by the tab, the Trumps said they "decided to go [their] separate ways" and still "have tremendous respect for each other" and would like "privacy during this time." One interesting tidbit about the filing, which Vanessa initiated, is that she sought "an uncontested proceeding." That's according to TMZ, who suggested the reason for that may be that the power couple has a strong prenuptial agreement. However, Vanessa later reversed that filing status and went ahead and hired a famed criminal defense attorney to represent her in the divorce, so questions remain.
As for why this is all happening? The truth is still untold, but anonymous sources abound and those insiders have all kinds of theories: Don Jr. is away hunting too much; Vanessa doesn't like the political spotlight; Don Jr.'s public grandstanding and Twitter trolling have changed him as a person.
While the "why" is purely speculative at this point, one thing is clear: Don Jr. didn't wait long to move on. By early May, Page Six reported that he'd already been dating Kimberly Guilfoyle "for a few weeks." At the time, Guilfoyle was a co-host Fox News' The Five. She's since left the network, and the pair have gone so awkwardly public with their relationship, that we now know they refer to each other as "Pooh Bear" and "Junior Mint." All of the cringe.
